Hello

Hi, I’m Jessica Stanley.
Since 2018, I’ve worked in public art through C. Stanley Creative, the mural company I run with my husband, Christian. Together, we’ve painted large-scale public murals for communities across the country. While Christian leads the artistic side, my work has focused on the strategy and business behind the work: finding opportunities, building strong applications, and navigating the public art process from start to finish.

Over the years, I’ve reviewed and evaluated hundreds of public art calls. That experience has taught me what makes an opportunity clear, equitable, and well-structured, and what makes it confusing or incomplete. I’ve also seen firsthand how overwhelming the public art system can be for artists, and how often public art professionals are managing early projects without access to shared tools, templates, or best practices.

This site exists to support both sides of the process:

• For artists, I want to demystify public art and share the tools that have helped us build a sustainable art career.
• For public art professionals, I hope to offer perspective, insight, and practical resources for creating clear calls and delivering meaningful community projects.

I hold a Master’s degree in Information, and I care deeply about how knowledge is shared, how systems are built, and how we can make public art more accessible and successful for everyone involved.

At its best, public art uplifts communities, strengthens identity, and fosters pride. I believe in public art as a force for public good, and I’m here to help others make that vision real.
